We picked San Francisco for our annual getaway. We let the husbands come this time. They behaved nicely. Future invitations are looking good.
We stopped by a park in Oakland called Fairyland.
Fairyland had all the imporatant aspects of a fairytale.
Carousel, check.
Fairyland exhibited boxes that told stories if you had a magic key.
Train ride, check.
Rope climbing, check.
A huge ship, check. Dragon, check.
Castle, check.
The enormous toadstools were pretty cool.
If the state of the art, turn the plastic key in an old box wasn't impressive enough, they had a hill where you could slide down on cardboard! The kids loved it and because the kids loved it, the adults loved it.
Lauren was content to watch. This time.
