A family of archeologists

Em is in dinosaur phase right now. 

The girls woke up in the middle of the night.  Emily climbed into Katie's bed.  They were laughing and "telling secrets."  Katie spilled the beans on their 3am secrets: dinosaurs.  Emily was teaching Katie just like her kindergarten teacher shared with her.  Dinosaurs are a big deal around here.  It's handy that she comes from a family of archaeologists.

I don't have enough clothing to keep up with this girl.

Seriously, I will never drink lemon juice or coffee again while nursing.  It's just not worth the vomiting and laundry that follows.

Breakfast on the dock

Katie has a need in her soul to touch, feel, experience life.  I love her enthusiasm.

Jumping on a dock.  A little scary.  Falling in is NOT an option.

Emily was dying to try jogging on the path after she watched a few guys run by.  So dad stepped up to the challenge and took her on a small run.  Katie just had to go with them.

Of course her little legs hit their maximum use for the day so dad had to step up to the task of bringing her back. 

Happy Birthday Daddy.

We opt for birthday activities rather than birthday gifts.  He ended up covered in silly string.  I still have a bottle to surprise him later.  HA.

Love summer.

Love swings and warm breeze.

Love blankets and outside naps.

Love happy babies.

Love Disneyland fireworks summer nights.

Spuds getting scrubbed.

Potato farmers.  So yummy.

Bark, bark, barky bark.

Open house style, grab some cupcakes and watermelon and hang out. 

Every day is independence day.
