San Clemente Island

This was the a fish who did not want to give up. I had to ask Colin for help reeling it in. It measured almost 2 feet.

Colin caught 4 fish to my 1 but whose counting.

Colin, thanks for planning everything. The weekend was perfect. You are so good to me, I love being your wife.

San Clemente Island

Part of our great weekend adventure was looking through sea caves during an extreme low tide. The water normally covers the entire opening.

San Clemente is amazingly beautiful. Like most military bases, they only build the bare minimum so most of the island is as God designed.
This is our cute little cottage. Built in the 1940s and recently renovated, it was clean and sweet. It's my new favorite place.
The building is our cottage right by the cliff.

Biola's Christmas Tree Lighting

Emily is ready for the cold night.

She did great with the candel lighting with a little help from Grandpa.

The tree is huge. See it in the background? It was a lot of fun to sing and have a good time.

T-15

We are going to have a launch on Christmas Eve. We pulled out some of our old rockets and added a couple new ones (hand built of course). We have about 40 motors. Add early morning dew, breakfast burritos, and races to see who can catch the most rockets and you have yourself a good time.

Happy Birthday Mom.

The cute pictures of all of us are on the other camera so all you get is a picture of the cake. Our cake decorating spree continues but this one was all Colin. He made a chocolate spice cake with three different frostings. Mint, peppermint and almond. It was a big hit. Unfortunately, I think some of the detail is lost in this picture but you get the idea. Happy Bday mom.

Happy Thanksgiving.

Emily is so sweet to pose for a Thanksgiving picture in her new dress.

You don't see the pumpkin pies with fingerprints in them!!!

Emily is thankful for olive fingertips.

KNOTT'S BERRY FARM

We had a blast at Knotts. We were there when the gates opened and headed right for Camp Snoopy. We were not expecting her to be able to go on many rides (she is only 1.75 years old) but we were pleasantly surprised. Now, just because Emily is tall enough doesn't mean she can go on the rides, especially by herself. So when Colin said, "let her go," I thought "NO WAY". Well, we let her go and the ride went faster than either of us expected but she enjoyed herself. For the first 30 seconds she was just quiet but once we started cheering for her, she laughed.
There were a lot of other rides that we went on as a family. She LOVED the stage coach pulled by real horses. The train will have to wait until next time. It was a great day.

KNOTT'S BERRY FARM

We rode the carousel again and again. There was no one in line so we just stayed on and changed animals. Finally we left only to return for a few more spins before we left the park.

Just another day at the beach.

I love the warm weather. We eat a watermelon once a week and visit the beach more now than we did in the summer when it was really hot. The tide was out so Jessica and Emily enjoyed playing in the pools. They even saw a baby herin, so cute.

Nana & Poppa visit.

Aunt Laurie and Aunt Heidi introduced Emily to the juke box. It was fun to watch the three of them dance to the song.

Thanks Nana for this adorable outfit!
