Snap shots of life...
Emily walked out the back door
carrying a large box filled with a hundred small things.
Poor Emily tripped, poor momma had to pick up 100 small things
and after all of that, we found a lizzard under Emily!
Poor lizzard was in shock so long, I thought he was dead.
Katie accompanies us to big church.
Sitting so nicely and quietly until...yes, a moment of silence.
Three squawks! Think baby pterodactyl.
She disrupted the entire silence.
We have started picking the watermelons we grew ourselves.
They are delicious if I say so myself.
That's all for now.

Making salt for Lala
Emily is busily making salt for her invisible cat. Lala loves it.
And now we have an infestation...
of invisible mice.

Our town has two points of interest.
One is this one room school house.
I think it is adorable. Maybe it is the teacher inside of me.
And speaking of teaching. We are starting a preschool co-op.
I am SO excited. I literally lay awake at night thinking about a bunch of squirts
running around the house and all the things they need to know. So excited.
Daring Emily crossing a bridge with water rushing under her feet.
She felt 10 feet tall when she made it across safely.
Happy Birthday to me...
My birthday was a couple months ago but Emily decided I needed a sand and tomato cake.
Birthday song and all.
My husband says he doesn't think of me as thirty.
It is a milestone for sure.
I understand why some may want to stay 29 forever
but I am glad to be done with my twenties and settling nicely to my thirties.
I am super excited about what this decade will hold.
Besides women in their thirties are beautiful creatures
and much more interesting than any twenty something.

The Orange County Fair
We had to visit the OC Fair.
Do you know what this is? It is supposedly a rabbit. It is hideous.
Emily is still my Orange County girl.
We had a great day. We watched a goat competition, ate delicious fair food, pet tons of animals, walked the gardens other fun fair activities. Next year we might enter our garden veggies in the competition!

THIS FACE!!!!
I have tried to get a picture of this face for months!!!
This is one of her happy faces.
She snorts and breaths funny and then laughs.
It is 100% adorable.

Okay, I'll post a little more.
It has been one year since we got our house keys. In honor of that we tore down a wall. Yep.
As Becca, the girls and I walked around our little town, I reviewed how much I love our neck of the woods. I love that we live in the country but are close enough to every amenity we want. Great neighbors.
Awesome garden. Our pumpkins are the envy of the neighborhood.
I love that we got rid of the dolphin fountain.
I love that my husband and friends and my sister have a plan in case zombies attack.
I love that we have open wood beam ceilings.
I am loving our new friends and their kids. And church.
I love that I look out the window and see rolling hills and rock outcrops.
And that I will walk our kids to school.
And we can hear frogs croak in the river during different parts of the year.
I love that our mystery tree is a...plum tree!
This is so much better than I expected.
