This is Emily at Springfield where she caught her first fish. It was a rainbow trout.
She watched the fish as they were cleaned, measured, and packed.
Uncle Robert took us Bass fishing.

Uncle Pete caugh 13 bass. Emily inspected every one.

Visiting Columbia is always a huge step back in time. Life is slow and very restful. Colin picked tons of berries. We ate veggies out of the garden every night. There were deer on the porch everyday. It was great.

Look at this CUTE giraffe backpack. She wears it all the time, even around the house. Thanks Nana.

Great Nanny turns 90 this Saturday.
Emily loved Nana's wind chimes. Emily constantly asked to be held up to the chimes so we hung them down where she could reach. She thought that was a great choice.

Happy 18 month Birthday!

I can't believe she is already a year and a half. I love watching her personality seep out of her expressions. She is a little lady, most often gentle but she can climb with the best of them. She has taken to squeaking like a church mouse and always kisses her baby. We also have moments where she throws the rolling pin or unexpectedly jumps off the counter on to my back as I walk by.
Emily is a lovely gift from God.

There were easily 50 people. There was great music and a comedian. The comedian was hilarious. His performance lasted 45 minutes or more and he wove the details of my dads life and our favorite stories into many of the jokes. He was VERY funny. Best of all, my dad was in total shock from the surprise.
