"Mom, look in my pocket.  I have something."
Does this phrase make anyone else cringe.
I find the weirdest and sometimes grossest things after this statement.
Luckily for me, today it was just a marble.
Where did she get this marble?

Free balloons at church means a good day.

To match or not to match.
Sometimes we do and sometimes we don't.
Today, Emily assured me it was important they matched for church.
Since I don't have a preference, they picked their outfits.
Turned out pretty cute.

BUTTERFLIES!

The caterpillars have arrived.
Making cocoons as we speak.
Thanks Rachel and Austin!!!

Our little town is small.

Very small.  And beautiful.  Very beautiful.  This is our drive home.
This is also on the way home.

All of these photos are with in ten minutes of our house.
It is so nice to raise kids in the country.
The people, SO friendly.
I occasionally miss living in the only zip code in America with two Costcos.
I don't miss Costco bills.
Okay, so I still shop at Costco but not as often.
Now I'll never be on Real Housewives of Orange County.
And that is okay.  I'll stick with my small town.

Are you bored of horse photos?  Me neither!

Katie has also taken to riding the ponies.
I had no idea she would love it so much.
When Emily started, she was stoic.
Katie was overly enthusiastic, smiling and waving. So cute.
Emily really enjoys trotting now.
The trainer taught her how to ride so it is fun, not bumpy.
After the lesson, we feed the horses and then play in the trees.
The girls are great sisters.

We hope you are busy collecting special moments of your own.

Can I touch my nose with my tongue?
Like Aunt Rachel can.
Old time bowling.
Daddy brought glow sticks for the night drive. Way cool.
Family reunion.  Too many pictures of awesome people.
We had another wonderful trip to the
small mining community nestled in the Sierras.
Sad because this time Great Grandma Barbara wasn't there.
Happy because life is good.

Some times a dead tree

is just a dead tree and sometimes it turns out to be an
exotic green plum.
We are excited to see our dead tree come back to life.

Whoosh.

Need I say more?

Backpack, baby and boots.
This girl is ready for the day.
