Okay, okay.

I'm back.
You thought I died. Well, I felt like it.
Morning sickness has been terrible.
I sit down to rest a minute, 45 minutes later I wake up drooling on myself.
Nothing but classy.

So, I'm feeling a little better.
I know fall is almost here but I'm hanging on to summer a little longer.
Picnic dinner at the beach tonight.
So I'll share some of the highlights of summer. At least what I was awake long enough to witness.
Stay tuned for pictures to come.

I forgot to mention I'm on vacation.
Too busy to blog for a bit.
But I have news!!!
For the last six months I have prepared to move to Japan in October.
Well, as fate has it, we are extended at our current duty station for a few more months.
Japan will wait for another day.
I'm a little bit bummed because I was super excited about Japan
but I am very happy because I love my friends and a bit of stability.

I'll get back to posting soon!

Ferris wheel fun.

Last time we took Emily on the ferris wheel,
she tried to look over the edge.
I nearly died.

 Katie's enthusiasm was adorable.
Like her sister, she doesn't seem to be afraid of heights.
I on the other hand have a sensible concern about heights.

We ended our outing with ice cream under the ferris wheel.
Awesome day.

You know you grill a lot
when your kids use play dough and pencils to make meat kabobs.

Duma

 Lounging in the gutter.
The jump is so graceful,
the landing is not.
It's a good thing this cat has claws.

The cowgirls ride again

spunk, everything she does is accompanied with a side of spunk.

Rachel had her own horse lesson.

She would like everyone to know she rode one of the largest horses at the stables.

Emily tacked the horse like a pro.

She is so proud of herself when she is riding.
Little sister had a ride of her own.
You couldn't wipe the smile of these girls.

Daddy came home

We waited for the buses to arrive.
The girls played in a light armored vehicle like daddy would ride in.

Finally we heard the roar of the Patriot Guard Riders,
a motorcycle club who escorts the men home.

Happiness to be with Daddy again.
It's been ten months since we had a day together with out Daddy preparing to leave.

Words can not explain what a day is like when he comes home.
He belongs with us.

Happiness is...

Sneaking a snack.

She sits, perched on top of the couch.
So still.
I love asking her what she is thinking about.
Today she was keeping watch for the large black bee that lives in our garden.

The sorting continues.
Change today.
It makes them so happy.
And if you over hear how much they count.
Let's just say, someone is rich.
