San Diego Wild Animal Park

Ric and Jeri with Emily. Today Jeri was Em's favorite person. The park was great.
You can visit to see the animals. Emily enjoyed feeding the animals but it tickled too much to let them eat out of her hand. She fed them single pellet by single pellet.


The Lorikeet forest was very cool. And a little unnerving when the birds would fly right by my head at very fast speeds. Emily wanted the birds to sit on her hand.

The day began and ended with a ride on the carousel.

Flower Girl Dress

We found a few dresses that are adorable. Let me know which one you like the best. By the way, they were all a little big but we will get the right size for the big day.

Emily loves hanging out on top of the fridge. Go figure. The other two pictures are just some every day shots that I like. It's been too long since I updated the blog. I promise to get some more photos on here soon.

San Juan Capistrano Petting Zoo

Nana Anderson took Emily to a petting zoo. Today we revisited the animals. Of course there was a train ride.
And plenty of bunnies. What you don't see are the many goats, pigs, birds, horses, miniature donkeys, gerbils, emus, lamas....the list goes on.

Colin helped deliver 5 bat ray babies! Mom wasn't going to make it and she could only deliver 2 by herself so Colin delivered the last 3.

The Giant Wheel

I love that Emily can hold conversations now. I don't love telling her no when she wants to do something fun. She has asked 100 times to go on the Giant Wheel. This week we finally said yes. She surprised me by looking over the edge without any fear. I guess she didn't inherit my sensible concern of heights.

San Clemente Island

This is my island paradise. It seriously feels like heaven on earth. The fishing was great. The driving off road was fun but a little hard on my pregnant belly. Walking the beach was probably my favorite. Thanks Colin for being so great.

Colin spent the night in detox...

...and Emily spent the morning in the ER. And furthermore, Colin will be in detox tonight as well. He volunteered to help struggling vets. Many with mental problems so he has some funny stories.
Emily on the other hand managed to grab a bottle of extra strength nasal decongestant. We don't think she actually ate any but we didn't want to take any chances. After an activated charcoal smoothie I think she learned her lesson.
